Hillock private house

Val d’Orcia

2012

This residential project revolves around a spiral staircase built in the center of the villa, which connects the two floors of the house creating a very impressive effect.

The existing volumes were reexamined by Dainelli Studio in order to take advantage of the different levels and the light, visually expanding the space even in the most private and contained rooms.

The use of taupe-colored concrete epoxy ‐ used for both the staircase surfaces and the floors ‐ achieves continuity between the colors of the spaces, which are characterized by a combination of

curves and clean lines.

In the selection of furniture, it was decided to maintain the lightness that bright colors and white possess, with the addition of steel and dark walnut wood details to recreate a minimal yet personal ‐ and sometimes even retro ‐ style.
