This residential project cherishes some of the exquisite features that appear in aristocratic residences in the ‘old Milan’ style – buildings typical of the city center of the capital of Lombardy – creating a space of contemporary antiquity.
In the concept developed by Dainelli Studio, the solid wood parquet flooring, the plasterwork, the cement tiles and the original windows are restored, revamped and highlighted through the use of finishes and a contemporary palette.
Marble and brass reemerge as a protagonist in their juxtaposition with bold and audacious colors -chosen for some of the walls – and the natural tones of leather, nubuck and wood.
The furniture comprises bespoke pieces designed by Dainelli Studio together with Mid-Century antiques and iconic furniture from the ‘60s and ‘70s.
The two large sofas, the dining table, the wardrobes and the étagère are all designed by the studio and purpose-made.
The studio’s ability to establish a dialogue between the design of individual items and interior projects – an outcome of Leonardo and Marzia Dainelli’s diverse know-how – makes it possible to realize every necessary element that a completely customized project requires.
