This home and studio for an architect and designer couple has the remodeling of a ‘70s villa in the countryside of Tuscany as its starting point. It is a residence characterized by big spaces, capable of bringing together the private universe, the atelier and the passion for art that the two owners share.
The villa spreads over staggered floors, which follow the shape of the pitched roof, with small mezzanine levels that open into the ground floor aiming to take advantage of the varying heights and create an amply-lit environment.
The large white walls blend with the soft colors of the Santafiora stone floors that re-appear in the whole house: the living area on the first floor, the stairs, the bedrooms and the atelier on the upper floor.
The color choices for the furniture combine natural colors, leather, and wood together with backgrounds in the primary colors, such as blue and red. The juxtaposition of iconic pieces, bespoke furniture, retro objects and works of art creates a sophisticated yet homey and welcoming atmosphere.
